About Sulphur Springs, Tx
Sulphur Springs is located about 30 miles north of Interstate 30 and about 50 miles east of Dallas. It is also about 25 miles east of Greenville.
Sulphur Springs is one of many small towns in Texas that are not widely known but are recognized locally as great places to live and raise families. Located several miles away from Dallas, you can live stress-free and avoid the bustle of bigger cities.
While there is no clear date on when Sulphur Springs was formed, it became recognized as a city when the first post office was opened in 1854. However, earlier residents can be traced back to Eli Bib, who settled there in 1849 and opened a store out of his cabin selling whiskey and slabs of ginger cake.
