2020 Star Awards Finalist

The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) is excited to announce 394 projects have made the finals of the 2020 Star Awards. This year there was a record breaking 624 entries from 54 cities across the state of Texas. The out-of-state judges reviewed 187 categories and select the best in Texas. TAB launched the Star Awards program in 1992 and it remains the only statewide tribute to excellence in the residential home-building industry.

We are excited to announce one of our homes, The Dryden Home, is a finalist for a Texas STAR Award for Best Kitchen and Best Custom Home!

Best Kitchen- ($1M- $1.5M)
Best New Custom Home ($1M- $1.5M)

Winners will be revealed on July 16 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas during the Sunbelt Builders Show™.

2016 Star Awards

In 1992, the Texas Association of Builders launched the Texas Star Awards – the only statewide tribute to excellence in the home building industry. In 2005, this remarkable awards program expanded to include projects throughout the Southwest.

Over 500 entries were submitted for consideration in 2016. The entries were judged by a distinguished panel of industry experts from across the nation during an intense two-day judging period.

Mike Blake Custom Homes was honored to be selected as 1 of 4 finalists in the Best Kitchen and Best Master Suite category for homes under 2 million. Although we didn’t win, being named a finalist was a thrill for our customers and trades.

2015 ARC Awards

In 2015, Mike Blake Custom Homes was recognized for their service, home design and finish out.

The Dallas Builders Association announced winners in its 2015 ARC Awards, at the Westin Galleria gala. The ARC Awards are held each summer to recognize building excellence by associate members, remodelers and custom builder members.

Mike Blake Custom Homes won the prestigious “Best Kitchen” award for a home under 1 million dollars. You can see the pictures of the kitchen and the rest of the home by clicking the photograph below.
